Description of the situation: Every day of the war leaves its mark on the souls of Ukrainians, and children and their families feel these wounds the deepest. We see how difficult it is for them to maintain hope and faith in the future when there is so much uncertainty and pain around them.

That is why we have launched the project “Building resilience of crisis-affected communities through enhanced program management practices of Civil Society Organizations in Ukraine”.

What we offer:

  • Friendly spaces for children where they can escape from the realities of war
  • Group classes for the development of life skills and psycho-emotional support
  • Individual consultations with psychologists
  • Positive parenting trainings for adults

Project`s aim: to help children and parents find internal resources to overcome difficulties. We create an environment where everyone can feel supported, unleash their potential, and learn to interact with the world in a new way.

The project focuses on the following target groups:

  • Large households (with 3 or more children);
  • Households with children under 1 year old;
  • single-parent households;
  • IDPS;
  • Repatriates (those who have returned);
  • Separated or unaccompanied children
  • Children/persons with disabilities;
  • Households with members with disabilities, including psychosocial disabilities
  • Children and families in difficult life circumstances
  • Children suffering from neglect, abuse, violence and exploitation

Our results during the project implementation period:

  • 1251 children participated in Child-Friendly Spaces, engaging in regular educational and therapeutic activities.
  • 1389 parents and caregivers completed Positive Parenting training sessions.
  • 120 individuals received individual psychological support.
  • 453 childrena and adults participated in group psychological support sessions.
