Territory of implementation
Social Center for IDPs, Novoselytsia, Chernivtsi region
With the support of our partners, we have created a modern children’s playground that not only provides a space for play but also fosters interaction, communication, and adaptation for families in a new environment
Funding for the project: This project was implemented within the framework of the SCLR program for supporting community initiatives in Bukovyna, carried out by the NGO AREAC, Chernivtsi Regional Association for Social Development, with administrative support from Fundatia Heks/Eper Romania, and financial support from Swiss Solidarity and ACT Alliance.
Description: At the Social Center for IDPs in Novoselytsia, children lack a dedicated play area which limits their opportunities for active recreation, development, and socialization. The absence of a playground deprives them of essential physical activities that are crucial for their health and emotional well-being.

With the support of our partners, we have created a modern children’s playground that not only provides a space for play but also fosters interaction, communication, and adaptation for families in a new environment. The playground helps children feel safe, make new friends, and gives parents a sense of stability and support.
Project Implementation: as part of the project, the following facilities were installed:
- Rubber safety flooring for secure play;
- Modern PlayBaby children’s play complex;
- InterAtletika seesaw swing for active games;
- Street Sport fitness complex to support physical well-being;
- Cozy outdoor tables with benches for relaxation and social interaction.
This project is a great example of how collective efforts can create comfortable conditions for those in need of support. This is yet another step towards ensuring that every child and adult who has been displaced from their home can feel warmth, acceptance, and new opportunities here in Bukovyna.
