Description: During the first phase of the war in 2016-2017, the CF “Arms of Mercy”, with the support of the churches of the Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, individual partners, and sponsors from Ukraine and abroad, purchased a four-story building in the city of Novoselitsa, Chernivtsi region. After the repairments, 11 apartments were converted and equipped with the necessary amenities to serve as temporary accommodation for internally displaced persons from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. Subsequently, the list of persons for settlement was expanded to include other vulnerable population groups, such as people with disabilities, etc. Over the entire period, more than 220 people were accommodated in the social center.

Objective: Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of people displaced from the war zone has increased significantly. With this in mind, it was decided to provide transit and temporary accommodation for 100 people by the end of 2023, with the indicated period of a maximum stay (1 year).

Implementation: On October 1, 2024, there are 49 people in the social center. Among them 11 families, including 9 IDP families, 3 large families, and one single mother. Meals and payment of communal services of residents at the expense of the fund occur in some special cases, mostly residents cover basic expenses themselves.

Settlement conditions are discussed individually with the fund directorate, under the condition of the availability of rooms.
