During the war, many families found themselves in difficult life circumstances, most of which, at the initial stage, needed urgent help

Funding for the project: in partnership with the international organization World Vision International with financial support from Australian Aid, Australian Humanitarian Partnership.

Description: During the war, many families found themselves in difficult life circumstances, most of which, at the initial stage, needed urgent help. Children belong to the category of those who are most traumatized by the vicissitudes of life. In order to somehow solve this problem, CF “Hands of Mercy” has been looking for ways to solve this problem for a long time. To support such children, we decided to establish Children Daycare Centers.

A daycare center is a place where the child is immersed in a good atmosphere and is engaged in useful and informative activities. Various groups, craft learning, sports games, and psychological support are exactly what children need to distract themselves from the horrors of the war that they had to experience and continue to live a full life, forming the right worldview.

Implementation of the project: Thanks to our partners, 11 children’s day care centers have been established. Four of them are in Sumy region, three in Chernivtsi region, two in Kherson region and one in Kharkiv and Poltava regions. Target audience and goal of the project: children, mostly IDPs or victims of war, aged 6-15. In isolated cases, the age of the child may be less than six years. During the child’s stayed at the center, parents had the opportunity to adapt to the new area (if they are IDPs) and get a job to support the family.

Coverage: During the project implementation, 3123 children were reached.
