Helping shelters for IDPs
During July and August 2024, 30 institutional and 29 collective shelter kits were distributed reaching 600 people
Project: Providing intersectoral humanitarian assistance to the conflict-affected population in Ukraine
The Charitable Foundation “Arms of Mercy” together with the international organization World Vision and with the support of USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) and ACTED completed the distribution of assistance kits for shelters in Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv oblasts.
During July and August 2024, 30 institutional and 29 collective shelter kits were distributed reaching 600 people.

The sets include:
- Institutional kit: everything you need to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shelter. This includes soap, detergent, cleaning and disinfection products, and cleaning equipment.
- Collective set: things for comfortable living – beds, bed linen, towels and even charging stations.
Our help was noticed. Here’s what shelter leaders say about the support received:
Olga Valeriivna Volkova, head of the Center for Temporary Accommodation of People with Disabilities, shared: “About 3,000 people have already passed through our center. These are people with disabilities, lonely, not being able to walk, and in need of care. Now we register new people every day. Your support is invaluable to us. “
A representative of the charity foundation “We Save Ukraine” also expressed her gratitude: “Now we have 100 people, and we continue to receive evacuees from the east of Ukraine. Thanks to your help, we can be as ready as possible for new people. “
We are grateful to everyone who joins our projects and helps to make the lives of IDPs a little easier. Special thanks to our reliable partners and donors – World Vision, USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), and ACTED.
Together we can overcome all difficulties and support those who need it most. Thank you for being with us on this path of kindness and support!
